Apple Is So Paranoid!
The Worldwide Developers Conference is where Apple is supposed to showcase its latest technologies and software. TUAW says Apple has declared the WWDC a no-blog zone, based on pics John Gruber of Daringfireball took during the event.

John Gruber, a man who knows his cheesesteaks as well as his Macs, is on the scene at WWDC and is armed with his camera. He took the picture above and posted it to Flickr. Notice it says, ‘Please ensure that your communications with others outside WWDC 2006, including your blogs, do not contain any Apple Confidential Information.’
In case you’re wondering, the sign reads:
With the exception of the WWDC 2006 Keynote, all information presented or provided to you by Apple during WWDC 2006 is considered Apple Confidential Information, the unauthorized disclosure of which is strictly prohibited.
Please ensure that your communications with others outside WWDC, including your blogs, do not contain Apple Confidential Information.
So it’s basically a blanket non-disclosure agreement, eh? I’ve read about Apple suing some rumour sites to death, but this is just silly. What of word-of-mouth marketing, then? It’s like sharing a secret with hundreds of people and asking them not to pass it on. Duh!
Hey John, do you realize you’ve just violated Apple’s no-blog policy by posting that photo on Flickr? Of course you do.
