Video Scandal Rocks Blogosphere

A Dirty House Cleaning Video Rocked the Blogosphere on Monday, and brought new meaning to being “Dooced”, as a secret house cleaning video was leaked to bloggers worldwide via the social networking site UrTube. The tape showed graphic images of blogger Heather Armstrong cleaning floors with a broom as a promotional viral marketing attempt for Armstrong Floor Cleaners. This isn’t the first time Heather Armstrong has shown some skin for publicity.

All calls to the blogger’s publicist went ignored. Although the company responded with a brief statement:

If you mention this video when you come in to buy our products we will give you 2 dollars off.

.

This video came on the heals of some bloggers calls for more aggresive advertising on their blogs. And while we’d all like to see Amanda Congdon in a similar “house cleaning” video there’s no reason to believe she’s going to sign a 40,000 dollar contract to clean house when she can sell ATMs from the comfort of her Manhattan studio.

Ironically, Armstrong’s corporate tagline is Your Ideas Become Reality. Ahh finally a company that listens to what we’ve all been wanting to see. Mom Bloggers Cleaning House. It’s about damn time.

In other news: Ms. Armstrong is closing in on a Toothbrush endorsement deal.

Update: I was so bored with real blogging news. I made this shit up.
