Digg and Stock Manipulation
There has been a lot of conversation going on about digg, stock manipulation, and “gaming digg”. First off this shows the amazing power of Digg, and the culture we live in. It shows that our society is truly a mob society, and this is the reasoning behind the lynch mobs, the cultish like aspects of various social networks, communities and what not. What this does not take into effect is the community’s ability to fact check. Digg is a dangerous place, but its also an amazing place. I use it nearly daily to market the best of our content.
I have had amazing results building entire readerships just using social sites like Digg and Reddit. But users should be careful not to abuse Digg.
