  1. Here’s something to do- write this Vernon cat a letter and take a pool up amongst your friends betting on how many words into his response he’ll use the terms ‘jesus’, ‘god’ or ‘the devil’...

Maybe someone should write him and tell him that he is God. So are you btw.
    Cheers

  2. Yeah I know, fortyone, Unvanquishable Master of Cut n Paste Music Geniusing.

Death row can turn someone to metaphysics very quickly. There are no atheists in foxholes, just hypocrites. How can you point a gun at someone with a New Testament in your flak jacket?

  3. that’s the problem with our modern life: we are so comfortable that we rarely have to ask any meaningful questions of ourselves.

  5. Sad thing his most folks on death row aren’t getting any metaphysics- they’re getting idol worship. Jesus Christ- he’s the guy who did it. He and he alone is one with the father God. The jews said no, he didn’t do it and no, he’s not. And remained rather firm on that position. The other folks played it a littler wiser if you ask me- they said ok, sure, yeah- HE is- HE did it- but no one else can- no one else is! Now worship this great man- yadda yadda yadda- and christianity became the worship of Jesus H. Christ and lost practically all of it’s religion and metaphysics.

That’s what saddens me- We had a relative not too long ago write us from ‘inside’ and was preaching all that jesus jazz- Says he found the answers. I was awfuly tempted to write back and ask him who the ‘he’ was that “found” jesus as the answer- Ask him just who it was that was looking- who was lost- ask him to show me his true self- Maybe this would start him on the course of discovering that jesus isn’t any better than he is… that he’s jesus. That jesus’s message was that everyone has the abillity to awaken as he, jesus, did. But I was too lazy. So, there you go.

  6. I know what you mean. You are describing a Churchianity Freak, not a real inner life Christian, not a truly spiritual person.

You describe someone who thinks if they say the right religious shit, accept the correct “doctrine”, or say a stupid prayer, they are going to heaven.

Like that’s the only purpose for life, to find the way to heaven.

Once they get that “ticket to heaven”, they shove it in their pocket, and proceed to either beat people up with the Bible, or remain just as unenlightened and screwed up as any non-believer.

George Barna, the Christian researcher, like George Gallup of Gallup Poll fame, has published a book called “Revolution” that declares church people are no better, and are generally worse, than “unchurched” people.

I like George Barna and visit his site, because he pisses off all the phony Churchians, those who literally worship their fucked up church.

Don’t go to church, if you’re looking for God. He can’t stand the frigging stench and hypocrisy.

Buddha, whom I like a lot, was also deluded into thinking that the main purpose of life is to find enlightenment and nirvana, freedom from craving and worry.

Life is creativity, not religiosity. Religion is for jerk offs. Spirituality is for sincere seekers.

“If I told you what it takes
    to reach the highest high,
    you’d laugh and say
    nothing’s that simple.

But you’ve been told many times before,
    Messiah’s pointed to the door.
No one had the guts to leave the temple.”
