Blogging as SEO Tool #1
Ok here’s my take on SEO. Let’s let it die. Let’s take SEO and all its magic wonders. Let’s demystify it as an industry that needed to die with Web 2.01a and flush it because its truly the biggest waste of your time and money if your a small business owner.
SEO can die because Blogging is SEO Tool #1. And the one tool they really don’t want you to know about. There is a lot of dicussion to be had and while I’m not an expert. I must be doing something right to be climbing in every index for Blogging Hacks, Cowboy, and Virginal Blognesting. One of my avid readers tossed me this link the other day. I meant to comment on it. But I was too busy scrubing the toilets for The Man Blog’s Corporate Office, and polishing up Girlspoke’s Toy Collection.
I don’t really have anything great or profound to say other than SEO is a crock of shit. I could do a better job with a toilet brush, a contest, and a team of monkey’s on laptops. So you SEO experts start crying, because in 2006 your entire industry is going to tank. And thank God cause you guys seem like a whole bunch of whiners.

Dude, I’m glad somebody came out with this. I’ve been reading some SEO sites lately – only through referral links, so don’t go blastin’ me – and I can’t help but think, “Why is there so much talk about this crap?”
You hit the nail on the head – just blog. Shut up and update your site. Seriously, I think it’s insane that people blow cash to “optimize” their shit for search engines, especially with the changing dynamics of internet traffic and everything.
You want backlinks, lots of em, in order to climb the search engine rankings…But let’s face it, if you have a lot of backlinks, then you’re probably already getting a lot of traffic. I don’t really think the search engines would affect you too profoundly one way or the other at that point, and I seriously don’t think you’d care if you already had tons of link love.
I think SEO is a dying enigma. I sure as hell hope so – I don’t want to read any more of that crap.

I think the real problem here Chris is that SEO experts haven’t figured out what a blog is. Once we teach them that, they may switch industries.

seen the blabber network?
or the fact that I have been blogging since 2003?
Goes off to learn what a blog is before I die…

SEOs smeshemoes! What I’m more interested in is how do I get a gig polishing the Girlspoke’s Toy Collection? Or if they have an opening for someone to wash their unmentionables I’d take that in a heartbeat. They won’t even have to pay me. sigh I’m pathetic, I know.
