Gawker to launch Silicon Valley Tech Blog
Nick Denton and Nick Douglas have officially (unofficially) crawled into the sack together and will be launching a blog covering the Silicon Valley Tech scene According to a reputable website Nick Douglas, of Blogebrity will be relocating from Pennsylvania to California early next year leaving Blogebrity in a much better place. According to sources within Gawker the average Gawkerite is making around 3000 dollars a month, but what makes this special is that there must be enough in it for Douglas to move to California and make a living at it.
Commentary:
Thank you Denton for stealing Douglas away from Blogebrity that guy was developing into a real ass. One of my big reasons for leaving was Douglas asking me to keep the gloves off of Gawker Media, and Nick Denton but that Calacanis and Co. was fair game.
I don’t like editorial influence. That’s the real scoop on it. So long fair well. Btw Jeremy,Kyle call me when Douglas get’s his bags packed I might come back.

Everybody seems to have known this, but nobody wanted to post it, it seems. Out of a fear of the reaction from Gawker, and also out of concession, preferring to allow Gawker to break it themselves, in typical splashy form.
I debated this myself, epsecially in respect to Nick Douglas, whom I hold in high regard. But after more debate, and, specifically, after finding out that someone else was planning on posting the same material, I decided to post it myself.
I mean, it seems pretty newsworthy to me, just as it might seem newsworthy to Gawker if they caught wind that The Times was going to spin off a paper for the teen set, before that was actually made public by the Times.

We don’t do popunders (or overs, or takeovers).
If you saw one it was either from spyware on your machine, the last site you visited, or Tribal Fusion had one slip by (this seems to happen every month or two… this is probably what happened).
I hate popups and would never do them.
