Hacking Memeorandum

I wanted to figure out why about 20% of my traffic comes from “social” sites like Memeorandum when I am really an antisocial blogger. I rarely utilize commenting unless I am forced to or find something really useful.

Little Bit of Luck

It’s really not that hard to figure this shit out. Memeorandum is a lot like Google they seem to like sites that are updated often, they seem to like sites that talk about what’s on Memeorandum, and they seem to like sites that are niche oriented. So here’s how to set it up. Make Memerandum believe you are updated often. Use a personal pinging device.

1. Head over to Memeorandum look at the first headline. Don’t talk about it. Talk about the one below it. Use the same article source as mentioned and linked to in Memeorandum. Utlize a minimum of 50 words of commentary on the subject. I have found that if you don’t you will quickly get removed.
2. Repeat step one with a different topic on Memeorandum.
3. Utilize Personal Pinging Device such as Pong
4. Sit back relax and enjoy the ride. Take a nap. Watch Memeorandum like a hawk. Continue repeating steps 1-3 until your get on Memeorandum.
5. It helps if you are a little controversial but don’t over do it because you need some average to above average linkage to get on Memerandum although I found you don’t need any at all if you utilize this new method with the ping server and the source files.

Happy Hacking. Be Safe.

  1. Memeorandum no doubts has an alogrithm in place to figure out what to post, but that algorithm makes no sense to me. It just seems to look at certain sites intially to see what they are writing about and if other people link to it they will post it up. My Design and Getting Links article at WB got on there and I never thought in a million years an article like that would be on there. But since you have been on there a couple of times maybe it’s now watching what you write.

  2. The blog has to be about either tech or politics. Tech also includes blogging, so that’s alright then. Gabe Rivera (the owner) has written a post on how to get on memeorandum at blog.memeorandum.com. It’s very helpful.
