7 Really Evil Blogging Networks
I picked myself up off the toilet after not Performancing very well and was pondering the meaning to all these blogs, and blog networks. I came to realize there are some real evil bastards out there pawning themselves off as geniuses.
1) Weblogs Inc.
More zomblogs than live blogs in Gawker Media. Any further questions?
2) B5Media
They launch more blogs a day than there are children in Thailand. An inside source says they are going to be creating a blog for every keyword in the Google Database.
3) Gawker
Umm. Fleshbot. The home of the best porn blog on the net. Any further questions as to why they are evil?
4) Breaking News Blog
This is just evil. Is there a real person publishing this blog or a piece of software? This is the secret of Six Figure Blogging.
5) Wurk.net
Does anyone really need a job? I mean this is the Web 2.0 the era where everyone works at home and does nothing. Just plain 1.0 to be encouraging people to go out and wurk.
6) Spoke Media
Is this like a blog network for people who are afraid to browse porn while they are at work? This is so sizzingly sexy I don’t know what to do with myself.
7) I lost my Pajamas Media
I figure there is a some real big bait and switch thing going on. I don’t think there is a Pajamas Media I think Doubleclick just remained itself. Trust me. This is just plain evil.
I think some of these folks should start thinking about a blog exit strategy. Because at this point. They are evil and they are not performancing. And I don’t have time for evil when I am trying to take over the blogosphere.

they are going to be creating a blog for every keyword in the Google Database.
Now that’s funny – yet sadly, me thinks if they could they would

For the record, after the next 20-40 blogs we’re going to cool our heels for a while, if that’s any consolation

I was just messing around J. No worries.

Obviouslty we’re all joking here – or to get into the spirit of this blog – taking the piss out of it all.
Sometimes, and please shout me down if I’m wrong, the perception is that it’s hunt down many popular keywords and start rolling out them blogs on the Blog Factory Line.
If I was to get into blog networking (I’m not, seems like a lot of work and I’m a lazy bastard!) I would start off with say, 5-10 blogs and make them perfect, fine-tuning them to the extreme and only then, I would add a blog or two a month and get some good PR mileage out of them – it’s pretty hard to get much publicity buy dumping 10,20, 30 blogs on us all in one go.
Jeremy – good idea to cool your heels for a while. Then you can work on them blogs and get the content to speak for itself.

I have 40,000,000 blogs. I write all of them.

40,000,000 – you’re not even trying

Actually, I’m more thinking ahead to web 3.0, 4.0 and 5.0 when the web 2.0 balloon has popped and we all need to go back out and get real man-jobs like digging roads, coalmining and shearing sheep.
So look out for diggingroads.wurk.net, coalmining.wurk.net and sheepshearing.wurk.net fairly soon. Then you won’t be calling me evil… you’ll be damn well thanking me, son.
You can never think too far ahead.

How do I make sure my blog network never gets on this “Evil” list ?
Diarists.com said this on December 2, 2005 12:51 pm
Why all the b5 hating. Owning content isn’t a crime.
Marcel said this on December 2, 2005 1:28 pm
I actually like the people at b5, and a few sites. But this is a fucking joke Marcel. Come on. This whole site. Is just for fun. Besides maybe in every joke there is some truth. LOL> You will never know.
liberalcowboy said this on December 2, 2005 2:14 pm
Is this a joke site, cowboy? Dang it, I thought I was into some serious debate on the business models, structures and mba-speak on the blog network industry … screw it, lets just poke our sticks at them and say what many are too afraid to say
every joke there is some truth – spot on! That’s why it’s funny
Martin said this on December 2, 2005 6:16 pm
