I am hanging out at the Web 2.0 conference and guess what I hear….
Dave Winer is thinking of hosting a conference called Weblogs2.0 (how to start a good company. ruin a good company, and sell ruined company to a big stupid company for millions and still act like your “2.0 cool”)
I was leaving the bathroom at the conference center when I overheard Kottke in the hallway asking people for 20 bucks and he would link them on his website. Huh, it’s amazing how much has changed in the real world. 20 bucks used to get you a lot more than a link. I guess that’s what Darren meant by monetizing his website. I guessed I missed the whole monetizing thing. Want to know who it was that wanted the link? Dave Winer Now you know how Kottke got the inside stuff on that Verisign deal.
